Homeless shelter is transformed into 5-star restaurant, hot food and warm hearts all around.  See the full video here.

I watched the video and I thought it was great. Because it’s not just like, nice food or whatever, it’s being treated like a guest. The people who staged this also made a 5k donation as well as handing out fancy gift bags that had basic self-care items/toiletries which are in really high demand because people will donate food but never think about hairbrushes, soap, toothpaste, et cet.

Not only that but i really appreciate the sentiment here that’s so against that whole poverty policing, “poor people don’t deserve anything nice ever” bullshit that’s getting louder in our society.

Juts so sweet.

"Goodness is not in your wealth and offspring being plentiful; true goodness is when your [good] deeds are plenty and you have great understanding and forbearance, and when you compete to worship your Lord. If you do good you praise Allah and thank Him, and if you sin you beg Allah’s forgiveness. There is no good in this life except with two types of men: A man who sins but then corrects himself through repentance, and a man who strives and hastens to get [the good] of the hereafter."

Day 42. “There is a reason God limits our days.’ 'Why?' “To make each one precious.”
I am so glad that this was my first book of the year. Its so good that even though I’m 20 days behind the returning date, I don’t mind cause I keep wanting to read it over and over again.

Day 40. Having a Lecturer as a Dad
Kamariah, Muslim and I attended a talk my dad was giving to some students in Bangsar South to show support. But my dad is the kind of guy who teaches his kids the same thing he teaches his students and so we already knew what he was going to talk about. Thus, Kamariah started to take silly pictures of me and Muslim and I had a Flappy Bird Battle hahaha.Good thing we sat at the back!Sorry Abi …

Day 39. Lost In A Jungle
The original plan was to hike up Bukit Kutu but we got lost (like true adventurers) and ended up at some air terjun which was awesome and really cold. P/s - Two hikes in one weekend! I am on fire!P/s/s - 2nd hike with Hikers Kental Crew as their Official Photographer (or at least that’s just what I like to call myself)
